Section of Eye's Lens Structure

This drawing attempts to show the nature of the suspension of the inner crystalline lens of the eye and its relationship to the cornea. The inner lens is held in place by the ciliary fibers, which are important in the process of accommodation for close vision. See also the cross section of the eye.
