Looking Forward to Thanksgiving

We look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with the family but the three granddaughters and Luke are very busy and the travel arrangements and schedule are complicated.

Sunday, November 23 was the first time we got some of the family together when Mark came out and brought us a Pizza lunch. Jeff had been the only one who could get loose to travel up from Pearl River and he traveled alone and arrived late on Friday night.

As Coach of the swim team, Darla was committed to travel to St. Charles, LA for a state Swim Meet on Saturday. None of the three granddaughters would arrive before Tuesday.

We appreciated Mark bringing us lunch and getting to visit with him and the dog "Punkin"

During the afternoon, Jeff boiled a big batch of eggs in his fancy pressure cooker and we waited for the arrival of Darla.

Darla had spent Friday and Saturday night with her sister Debbie in St. Charles. She attended the Louisiana State Swim Meet with her two swimmers on Saturday. One of her two swimmers reached 6th place in the State meet.

Debbie took Darla to the St. Charles Airport early on Sunday to fly to Houston, then after waiting several hours she boarded her flight to Atlanta and took Uber out to our home about mid afternoon.
