Thanksgiving Dinner at Mableton First Baptist

We headed out to the church for the Thanksgiving Dinner at 5pm with just over a hundred persons in attendance. A new caterer whose two granddaughters participate in our Awana program had provided a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.

It was wonderful that Darla had arrived and with Jeff, Darla and Mark there, Rod and Brenda could just relax and enjoy the meal and all the company around us.

With Pastor Doug calling out table numbers, we watched our friends take their place in the line to the food.

It was also a pleasure to see others of our friends and fellow church members serving the food.

While we were waiting, we could walk around and visit with a large group of friends.

But it was a particular delight to share our table with Jeff, Darla, and Mark and all the friends who stopped by to visit with us.

Pastor Doug at the front continued to call the sequence of table numbers to get food. He also made comments about our oppportunities and reasons to be thankful

For part of the celebration we shared our table with Jennifer Bentley and Teresa Lamb, friends with whom Rod works in the Awana Ministry. The tall man upper left is the Caterer, who was very friendly and generous in providing the wonderful meal.

We finished up our wonderful gathering with one or more of the desserts which members of our church had contributed to the occasion.
