Proberite

NaCaB5O7(OH)4.3H7O

This sample of proberite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Proberite is a oxide mineral, a borate of sodium and calciumwith the composition NaCaB5O7(OH)4.3H7O. The sample at left is about 12-15 cm across and is from Boron open pit mine, Boron, California.

Not found in mindat - perhaps it has another name.
