Collinsite

Ca2(Mg,Fe)(PO4)2.2H2O

This sample of collinsite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Collinsite is a phosphate mineral with the composition Ca2(Mg,Fe)(PO4)2.2H2O. The sample at left is about 9 cm across and is from Rapid Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada. The sample is described as collinsite with gorceixite.
