Aphthitalite

(K,Na)3Na(SO4)2

This sample of aphthitalite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Aphthitalite is a sulfate mineral of potassium and sodium with the composition (K,Na)3Na(SO4)2. The sample at left is about 12 cm across and is from Glom salt dome, Iran.
