| Stony MeteoritesMeteorites are traditionally classified as irons, stones, and stony-irons. The stony meteorites are by far the most common meteorites but harder to identify as such, often requiring isotopic analysis to be sure. This meteorite, classified as a stone chondrite, was found in Victorialand, Antarctica at a location called Elephant Morrain. It is on display in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. The size is about 30 cm.
