Jeff and Darla Visit

August 7-9, 2026

Jeff and Darla came for a weekend visit on August 7-9, just after their 32nd Anniversary and Jordan's birthday on August 6. We noted that it was their 32nd anniversary and Rod and Brenda had celebrated their 64th anniversary on June 22. We discovered another coincidence that Pastor Doug and Marsha Thompson had also celebrated their 32nd anniversary the same week!

Jeff and Darla flew up from the Gulfport, MS airport and took Uber out to us, arriving at about 5pm on Friday, August 7.

Marty Dye showed up soon with a fine dinner from Wallace Barbecue.

Mark came out on Saturday morning with Punkin and spent some time with us. Jeff and Darla has already done their morning walk including the Creveis hill. Jeff's knees are doing well and he is both walking and swimming for conditioning.

Jeff spent some time with Rod, helping him set up part of the Wifi network. Then he spent some time with Mark showing him some video of the tactical boats and guns like those that Ashleigh's boat crew uses. Ashleigh is the Doctor for that boat crew and has had some exciting opportunities to ride on one of the boats and to fire one of the high-powered guns.

On Saturday evening we went Spanish and had a full Taco dinner.

We were pleased to see Jeff and Darla in such good shape. Jeff is doing very well with his double knee surgery just about seven weeks ago on June 20.

Mark came back out after supper so we got to have a good time of family visiting.

On Sunday morning Rod and Brenda stayed around to have breakfast with Jeff and Darla after their walk. We visited until Marty came to pick them up about 10AM to take them to the Airport.
